i've been thinking about catullus a lot recently
or rather, argento’s translations of catullus that we just sang in chamber singers. and the line going through my head today is:
my only wish now is that i be healed, and this terrible pain be assuaged.
if you didn’t hear the concert, or even if you did, you should hunt down a recording of argento’s i hate and i love. it is one of the most beautiful choral works i have ever...

Sweeney Todd
So Ming, Emily and I put in a proposal to the BMTC to do Sweeney Todd next semester, and I am totally stoked. We find out sometime next week if it will be accepted or not, but my hopes are high. I’m really fucking excited. We’re going to have a really stellar cast, too, if we make this happen. Cross your fingers! You know you want to see Sweeney at Bard!!
